Beautiful photograph of the main car used for the sales brochures

002 was used for this photo shoot as it was the only black Tickford in existence at the time!

Rare photo of the original Motorshow car at the factory   And a shot of its mega-clean engine bay

The amazing interior of the Motorshow car

The original owner of 002 wanted to buy the Motorshow car, but Tickford would not sell it.  When he was offered 002 as the first car that would be leaving the factory in a sort of "pre-production run" he specified an identical interior.  Certainly 002 bears many similarities such as the triangular steering wheel pad, walnut door cappings and MK2 Escort switches where the radio should be, but Tickford put the clock and boost gauge down in the centre console instead of in the main dashboard, stitched the leather seats differently and altered the shape of the door cappings - a big argument followed!

Another picture of the original car, this time with the smooth wheel covers that never made it to the production line.

Saving the best photo until last!

While I was exhibiting 002 at the Yeovil Festival of Transport in 1991, I was approached by a gentleman who said he thought that he had taken a photograph of my car when he worked for local newspaper in Barnstaple.  This photo arrived in the post a week later.  Apparently when 002 was delivered to its first owner, Tickford took the opportunity for a publicity shoot together with 005 at Chivenor Airfield .
